What we collect from visitors

You do not need an account to read this site. While you read, two measurement tools run:

• Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-R42H7VQX9W) records which pages you open, the page you came from, your browser and device type, and an approximate location worked out from your IP address. Google processes this for us. We do not keep your IP address ourselves.
• Our own visit counter, loaded from tools.hannune.ai and operated by Hannune, records the page address, the time, the page you came from, and a rough device type.
• Ghost(Pro) analytics, built into our publishing platform, records a page hit each time you open a page, together with the page you came from and a visitor identifier that is not tied to your name.

Ghost(Pro) also keeps ordinary web server logs.

What we collect from subscribers

• Your email address, and your name if you give one.
• Which issues were sent to you, whether you opened them, and which links you clicked. Ghost records this by default.
• How you reached the signup form.

We do not take payments. No paid plan is on sale at present, so we hold no card or billing information.

Who else handles your data

• Ghost(Pro): hosting, subscriber records, email sending and its own visit analytics.
• Mailgun: newsletter delivery.
• Google Analytics: visit measurement.
• Hannune: our own visit counter.

Why we collect it

To publish the newsletter, to deliver it to the people who asked for it, and to see which pieces are read. We do not run advertising. We do not sell your data and we do not pass it to anyone outside the list above.

How long we keep it

Subscriber records are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. Measurement data is kept for as long as Google Analytics retains it under our account settings.

Your rights

Under Korean PIPA, the EU and UK GDPR, and the California CCPA you may ask to see the data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, take it elsewhere, or object to how we use it. Write to editor@2asy.ai. We answer within 30 days.

Every newsletter carries an unsubscribe link. Using it stops all email at once.

Cookies

Google Analytics sets cookies. Ghost sets a cookie when you sign in as a subscriber. You can block cookies in your browser and the site will still work.

Turning measurement off

You can install Google's opt-out add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout, or block the two scripts with any content blocker.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it.
